Once again, I've tried something a lot of people were already saying didn't work for their hair. Nevertheless, I still needed to try it for myself. This shampoo is a trickster. Upon first touch of my hair, this shampoo left my hair feeling soft and moisturized--then came the storm. When I washed my hair with this longer, my hair instantly tangled and became very hard, dry and brittle--not cute at all. The shampoo did get my scalp clean though. I would still recommend that people try this product to see if it works for them. You can not just go off of what people say, and some people hair take well to protein--mine--not so much. At least I can say I was not disappointed with the results this product had left me, as I already was aware of what this product could possibly do to my hair. I love the masque in this collection though!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by tay tay so far so good
ok I might have to review this again for the fact that my hair is braided and I bought this to use only on my itchy scalp so the next time will be my actual head of hair. Currently how I use this product is once a week diluted with a little water in a spray bottle focusing on my scalp area only. It does help with the dryness/itching and seems to leave it clean with no stripped feeling but I used it twice and so far the results are temporary. I like the sweet banana scent but the shampoo isn't as thick as i would like it to be and I find myself being a little heavy handed with it. It lathers well even with being a little diluted but I still feel you have to use too much to feel like your getting the a proper shampoo.

This shampoo cleanses and clarifys without the harsh chemicals in other shampoos. I have relaxed hair and it leaves my hair clean without drying it out completely. It also smells good!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by So Natural Too Deeply Cleansing!
I have very dry hair/scalp and dandruff. I was looking for an all-natural product line for Black hair and was overjoyed to find this. However, my hair has never felt this stripped and dry. I shampooed twice, as I would with any other shampoo and after the 2nd rinse my hair felt like steel wool. It was so dry that even after applying conditioner and anti-frizz serum it still felt dry and crunchy. Really disappointed. It smells nice though...

I bought this because my scalp was feeling irritated for some reason. I thought I was suffering from a dry scalp or a mild fungal infection so I went to my local store and purchased this. The ingredients looked pretty good and a small amount is all you need to get a decent lather, and believe me the city I live in has the hardest water.
I was using it for a while and I noticed my scalp was clean but itching with much more intensity. Even though I read the ingredients and I know it contained tea tree, I wasn't sure if it was the culprit. So I tested a patch of my hair and sure enough it was the tea tree.
For me, it takes a while for my skin to react to certain ingredients. But there is the instance where I react immediately like my experience with pyrithione zinc [sic], which left my scalp and where ever the ingredient made contact with broke me out in a blister/rash.
So I stopped using it and my scalp returned to normal after a week. So I would recommend this to anyone who has an itchy scalp and is scared to use the chemical laden shampoo. I must note that since it is natural, the shampoo tends to separate you must shake very well. Despite the price, a little goes a long way.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lifeisagift1990 Great shampoo for hair and scalp!
I bought this as a natural way to take care of my dry, itchy scalp (in addition to ACV rinses). It has ingredients that fight scalp problems naturally, lathers well, cleanses my tightly coiled hair without stripping and smells like plantains. I like it alot and will repurchase it in the future.
