I started using Shea Moisture Hair Products and I love how it made my hair feel!!! I was having a horrible time with adult acne and ingrown hairs down under and within a couple of days everything was clear!! I came back to buy 3 more so I could make sure I would have some!!

First off, this soap smells sooo good! It doesn't lather like regular soap, but that's ok! My skin feels great after using this soap. It left a black residue on my washcloth as I was in the shower which worried me initally, but it washed out by the time I was done. Nothing to worry about! I will be buying this again!

This Soap Saved My Skin!

I tried everything for my body acne, and although I saw some results, it was a constant war to keep it at bay. I was totally ashamed. My husband was trying to "help" with lots of tips and advice and I was at my wits end. I'm white and honestly thought that African black soap was only for people of African decent. On a whim, I tried it, and I was so incredibly glad I did. No gimmicks, no ridiculous marketing campaign, no celebrities touting it's efficacy, but this stuff hands down works better than pretty much anything I've tried. And all I have to do is shower with this once a day! I can't praise it or recommend it enough! No matter your ethnicity, it's worth a try. It probably wont cure everyone, but it will definitely work for some.

As for the product, it lathers like any other soap. The foam is brown tinged because the soap itself is black. It does leave marks in the bath tub, but any regular routine cleaning to remove soap scum will get it off. It doesn't stain your skin, however, if you're concerned. The fragrance isn't exactly fantastic - just smells "clean"...the closest thing I can think of is the smell of Bazooka gum after all the flavor has been chewed out and you're run of the mill soap smell. Who cares? I had tiny zits all over my bikini line and inner thighs and they were gone within a DAY of using this stuff! No more razor bumps! YAY! Every once in a while, I get an occasional bump here and there, but they're always noticeably smaller and dry up very quickly (not after a week of suffering, like before!).

I love this soap. I hope they never stop making it!

Love the product bought some for me and my son. It help with razor bumps has reduced them and prevents them from becoming ingrown hair when he uses it daily. Prevents the occasional acne breakout and leave my skin feeling soft and smooth.

I recently purchased this product about 2 wks ago and I have noticed a change already with my face. I'm not one to post reviews, but this soap is amazing. Recommend to anyone with facial skin problems. Can't wait to try other products. Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth

I have been having many breakouts recently, and my usual facial products weren't working. After doing a little research, I found this product, and I must say that Shea Moisture has done it again. I use Shea Moisture African Black Soap Shampoo and Conditioner, which works well with my natural hair, and I am absolutely in love with this soap as a facial cleanser as well. I use this twice a day, and it has cleared up my breakouts in a matter of a week and a half! This past weekend, my favorite foundation (Revlon Colorstay which I will NO LONGER BE USING ugh!!!) caused a serious breakout on my face, and after using this product the same night and the next morning, my skin was half clear again. Within two days, it was completely cleared like the breakout had never occurred. All in all, I will continue to use this product. I highly recommend it for those with highly sensitive, acne prone skin like myself. Because I have had so much success with this product, I plan to purchase the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Bar Soap and Lotion Combo in the near future. Thanks again Shea Moisture!!!
