I liked the color on the box so I decided to try it. It has been about 3 months since I first used the product. I wash my hair once a week and the color is still in. It has only faded slightly at the roots. I am going to relax it soon but I don't know if the color is going to come out or not. I liked the procedure to apply. It was quick and easy, hardly any mess if done correctly and looks its best when the sun hits it!

Rated 5 out of 5 I am white and I have dark, thick curly hair. This product is the first I have found to give true red color. The extra conditioners are great no matter what your race, also there isnt a harsh chemical smell like some other products I have tried.

I get compliments on this color from total strangers quite often. I am white and also find it hard to locate true red hair color -- not orange, not cinnamon, not auburn, but RED. :) Now I'm having trouble locating it in my area so I'm looking online. I hope Softsheen-Carson doesn't discontinue it!

It is very hard to find a TRUE dark red and this is the closest I've come to the color I want in one box. I LOVE the shade but the downside is it really doesn't last long. 5 washes later and the color is almost gone. I've been playing with salon-grade color boosters to match this shade but haven't succeeded yet. Online is the only place I can find this product now as every retailer in my area that used to carry it has stopped stocking it. If you're professionally trained I'd recommend using a different developer than the one provided. The color seems to stay almost twice as long. Otherwise it's great for a fun change.

The color is really nice, but once hair is washed the color fades extremely, and once relaxer is applied, color comes out completely, and if wet, it stains clothes. It should be a semi-permanent.

Most hair color lines have discontinued there true dark red shades. I have found this is the best! And it's not only for people of color, works wonderfully on brown hair and I am white. I love it!
