When I was in the Philippines, my favorite sanitary napkin brand was Modess Dry Max Maxi with Wings, To my dismay, it's not sold here in the US. I tried different kinds of pads, from Kotex, to Always, but I always get sore down there. I guess I'm not used to the nylon-kind of layer they use. Anyway, I researched which company makes Modess, and I was elated to find out it's by Johnson and Johnson! I looked for a pad that they supply here in the US, and found out it's Stay-free! I immediately looked online on where to buy it, and found it here on Walgreens :D. I've never shifted to another brand since..it's my current favorite now coz I no longer get sore down there. :)

So, I can't tell you how much better I feel with Stayfree. I've used Always for years--always used Always, Ultra Thin, Super. However, I have sensitive skin and in the past year or so it has gotten more sensitive. Always pads started giving me diaper rash, no matter what I did...awesome, right? I changed pads regularly, tried to keep myself clean and dry, but it didn't matter the circumstances--Always no longer worked for me. SO, I did my research looking for a good cottony pad, and soon found that a lot of women have that same problem with Always pads because of the weird plasticy dry-lock top layer.
Anyway, I finally had enough, and went to the store to look at pads. I ended up buying these exact pads based on the advertisement online of the cotton upper layer and fairly cheap price. As soon as I got home, though it was not necessary as I'd only changed pads maybe an hour before, I immediately switched to a Stayfree pad. HOLY MOLEY. Suddenly, I was extremely comfy. The cottony upper layer is heaven sent. I was so relieved that I even told my boyfriend, who of course felt that was little TMI!
On a bit of a downside, these pads are a little bit thick, sort of diaper-like, but a really COMFORTABLE diaper. I don't mind a bit, and besides, if you sit enough it kind of squishes it down. They absorb really well, right on contact. Sometimes I'd be paranoid with Always because they don't absorb right away and I have a heavy flow and am a college student (meaning I sit in one seat for at least an hour at a time!!), but now I'm not at all concerned.
Anyway, best decision I could've made! I haven't tried them against Kotex or anything though, so maybe I'll check the difference in the future to make sure I have the absolute best. :)
