Seriously, I've been buying a much more expensive hairspray FOREVER, thinking that nothing else would give me the hold that I need. I have tried a few other brands and have always regretted it.....UNTIL NOW!! This hairspray totally delivers on quality and performance. I am a fan for life now!

Attention all ladies with big hair - you will LOVE this hairspray. You can hold up a section of hair, spray it and viola! it will be frozen in place immediately with this spray. You have to get the one with the purple label, though, the Freeze, level 5. I've tried a few of the others and they don't freeze your style instantly like this one does. No stickiness or tackiness, doesn't look like you have plastic head (think back to the old Aquanet days) - goes on dry and leaves hair with natural shine. ALso, when it rains or is humid out, your style won't droop. I curl my hair on hot rollers, and want to keep the bounce and curl all day - this hairspray does that. But it brushes out fairly easily, too. AND, it doesn't build up for those of us who don't want to have to wash our hair every day. I can go like every 3 days even when using this spray a couple of times a day and my hair still looks shiny and clean. One thing you may want, though, is a good deep cleaning shampoo. if you use shampoos designed for dry hair (gentle types), you may see hairspray still on some of your hair strands when you get out of the shower. I use the Pantene voumizing shampoo (clear bottle) or Suave clarifying or Herbal Essences Drama Clean shampoos. Also, Tresseme deep cleaning shampoo works well. But another reviewer said it well - for those of us with 80's hair (a la Peg Bundy), this spray is a must have.

I like how there is help here right at the finger tips and you are shown what to use to help with the hair problems that you have with the type of hair you that you have born with.

The #5 hold spray i purchased has NO HOLD at all..... I rarely review products online but my hair feels like it has NO hairspray on it at all...... VERY DISAPPOINTED. Will not purchase this product again.

I bought this spray and had to toss the entire can because it smelled so bad I couldn't stand it. I don't remember Tresemme' products smelling so bad.
