I purchased this thermometer for it's 8 second reading, flexible design, and lifetime warranty. The thermometer never worked. I contacted Kaz, and even thought it has a stated lifetime warranty, they made a big deal out of replacing the device. They pretty much said out of the niceness of their hearts that they would replace it, but they typically don't. I just received the replacement (in a 3 ft tall box mind you!) and it is as worthless as the first thermometer....it ALWAYS reads 97.4. PLEASE PLEASE don't waste your money like I did!

Compared this with a new thermometer from the hospital. Professional thermometer read: 97.9 three times in succession. Vicks measured: 98.4, 98.3, 98.4, 97.8, etc. Tried later. Professional: 97.8, 97.8. Vicks: 98.2, 97.9, 97.7.

Very easy to use for my 3 year old and soooooo fast! More accurate then ear or forehead.... at least in my opinion!

This product is great!!!! It has gone through three kids and tons of fevers. It's fast, effective and reliable. I've tried several other brands to see if any could top this product and I haven't found one since. It has never failed me yet!

Tried the thermometer soon after I got home. The battery died.
Called the number on the package and was told to adjust the battery to insure good contact. Did that. No change. Was told to send the thermometer back for a replacement. No, not worth it--no more Vicks thermometers for me.

The item has a lifetime warranty, however, walgreens does not carry the replacement battery.
