I've been using Vitalis since I was 16 years old which adds up to 72 years or to 1941, "Before Pearl Harbor."
I don't have near as much hair now as I did then but it still works on my thin and gray but still curly locks.

I love this. I just bought it on Saturday and used it for the first time today, my hair has never looked this good! The price is a bit more than I would have liked to pay but hey, you have to pay to keep it classy!

I find now that I am losing a some of my hair that Vitalis is the best product for control since I too, do keep my hair fairly short. The smell is present but I would not call it overpowering.

This is a classic hair tonic. Used for years. Not used as much as prior to 1970 when 'the wetlook' was the norm. However, with the resurgence of the 'wet look', this product should not be dismissed and has potential to become more relevent today. My only negative against it is the aroma. It is quite strong, but does lessen once the alcohol evaporates. I wish they would tone down the aroma. Compared to Lucky Tiger 3 Purpose Hair Tonic, that product has a much milder aroma and lessens even more. If you're looking for a slick wet look, Vitlis is definitely worth a try. I have found that if you use it in conjunction with Groom&Clean, the strong aroma is pretty much negated. I use this when I want a classic "means business" look. Best used on medium to short hair.

Although these types of hair product are not as used as they once were, I find that they work better than hairspray of gel. It keeps my hair in place without making it look artificial.
