I use this product to keep my skin from breaking down due to friction and skin on skin. It works very well and has prevented skin problems for several years. I prefer the Walgreen's brand because it is much more economical than the brand name product.

I'm a germaphobe. I have two kids one 3 and one 8. When they come home from school I run them a bath and normally put a few drops of the Hibiclens in the water. It doesn't smell very good and the consistency is really runny. Last night I was shopping in my Walgreen's when I noticed Walgreen's had a generic brand. I sashayed over to the Pharmacy to ask if the products were similar. The pharmacist said they were the exact same thing. Only thing is the generic SMELLS SO MUCH BETTER! and it bubbles up like a bubble bath! Not to mention it cleans just as good as Hibiclens! Good job Walgreen's!

I've used Hibiclens for 8 years since a couple bouts with MRSA and have been satisfied with it (except for the price). This stuff has the same active ingredient and the same effect as the red stuff but it doesn't stain your wash cloth red or smell unpleasent. And it lathers up a bit more as well.
