Cons: smell is like rotten fish

We purchased krill oil capsules and as others have reported the smell is really bad when you open the bootle. Have used 2 other brands and never had an odor problem. Purchased this Walgreen krill because of the price but will pay the extra money for for Schiffs mega red brand in the future.
Have used a lot of Walgreen brand items and this is first time we have been disappointed.

Walgreens Krill oil has more of a fishy smell because it does not add synthetic compounds to fool your smell like some of the name brands. Thats the difference.

"Synthetic vanillin, instead of natural vanilla extract, is sometimes used as a flavoring agent in foods, beverages, and pharmaceuticals."

Great Omega-3 product

Krill Oil is the best Omega-3 and this brand is the best I've found. No fishy smell and no fish burps. You can actually feel a difference when taking these.

Cons: terrible rotten fish odor!

Purchased this product because the price was much cheaper than the Mega red I usually use. Opened the bottle and could not stand the strong rotten fishy odor coming from the bottle. I took out a capsule and even my hand smelled like the rotten fish odor. Took it back to the store and purchased the Megared. Won't make that mistake again and I hope you won't either.

I bought the product because it is less expensive than Meg Red. I have found it to be just as effective as Meg Red and have not had any problem with any fishy taste. I think this product is just as good as any other available and a lot less costly.

OK but...

Pros: Lower cost

Cons: fishy after taste

I purchased this product because it cost less than Mega Red but in the future I will glagly pay the extra for Mega Red. Maybe it's just my system and not the product but I get a fishy taste in my mouth with this product that I do not get with Mega Red. There is also a much stronger fishy odor when you open a bottle of this product vs. Meg Red. When using Mega Red I have never detected a fishy taste.
