World Centric is happy to announce our own line of biodgradable and compostable bags, which are comparable to BioBags. Made from a mixture of synthetic and starch based plastics, our bags meet the European standard EN 13432 which is the strictest standard for compostable plastics, and equivalent to ASTM 6400. The compostable bags are also printed with soy based ink.
Currently, all compostable trash bags in the market are made from a mixture of synthetic and starch based plastics. The synthetic content usually ranges from 55% to 100% .
The synthetic polymer content is necessary to give the bag its elasticity, stretchability and strength.
Please note that composting is required for biodegredation. These bags will biodegrade between 90 days in a commercial composting facility and within 180 days in a home composting system.
