Doctors know the best way to relieve muscle pain is to use both hot and cold therapy on an alternating basis. Each therapy attacks pain differently, but works together to help your body heal itself. Cold therapy provides cooling pain relief and is applied to a sore area to reduce pain. Hot therapy provides warming pain relief and works to stimulate circulation and blood flow, relax muscle spasms & reduce pain and stiffness, leading to improved range of motion. You'll know it's working after you complete the very first rotation. Over time, you'll be amazed at your level of relief.
For alternating therapy. For persons under 18 years of age, ask a doctor before using. Adults and persons 18 years of age and older: Start by applying the Cold Therapy, applying a small amount of cream and gently rubbing into the affected area until fully absorbed. Then rotate to the Hot Therapy, applying a small amount of cream to the affected area, using an applicator to avoid getting on your hands. Dispose of the applicator. Rotate back and forth between the Hot and Cold Therapy. For optimum relief, apply each therapy no more than 3 to 4 times per day. Best results typically occur after 2 to 4 weeks of continuous use. Unless treating hands, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after use. Store at room temperature 15° - 30°C (59° - 86°F).

Zostrix Hot Therapy: For external use only. Use very sparingly, so your skin can get used to the warming/cooling effect. Do not apply to wounds or to damaged or irritated skin. When using this product you may experience a burning sensation which is normal and related to the way the product works. With regular use, this sensation generally disappears within several days. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not get it on mucous membranes, into eyes or on contact lenses. If this occurs, rinse the affected area thoroughly with water. Do not apply immediately before or after activities such as bathing, swimming, sun bathing, or strenuous exercise. Do not apply heat to the treated areas immediately before or after use. Do not tightly wrap or bandage the treated area. Avoid inhaling airborne material from dried residue. This can result in coughing, sneezing, tearing, throat or respiratory irritation. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, discontinue use of this product and consult a doctor; blistering occurs; difficulty breathing or swallowing occurs; severe burning persists. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Tamper evident: Do not use if seal at mouth of tube is missing or broken.
