Personaly Sidekick for express hair color!

Pros: long lasting if your bleach light enough prior!

The entire Splat line is amazing! This color is true to Shade!
-The kit contains Protective gloves so c'mon guys make sure you utilize them!
-Personally my favorite is Pink Fetish, but the Lusty Lavender does the job.
-Just make sure your bleach your hair to a full level 9-10 before you apply the color & also verify your hair is CLEAN & DRY when you process the bleach & the dye.
-Small tip to increase longevity of color: Process the color for a full hr covered with a shower cap (plastic bag works fine) and blow dry for the first 5-10 min.
This helps creat heat thats normally produced by your scalp.

Okay, so I've used this product once on myself and another time on a close friend, then once more on my mother-figure.

I used the blue. I am blonde and it was SO bright in my hair. I loved it SO much that I've made it a point to always get SPLAT dye. It lasted SO long. The package says it can last from like.. a few weeks to a few months. Mine lasted SIX months. It's long lasting.

My friend used the Green. She has dark brown hair, so the bleach was needed. The bleach was amazing and helped the green turn out a bright, vibrant color! Hers lasted only a little bit less time than mine.

My mother-figure used the three-color package to put some streaks in her hair. she has natural blonde hair, but at the time it was dyed burgundy, so she used the bleach. It turned out very pretty and really fun! Her's only lasted a few months.

Now, it IS messy, but that is because it's very concentrated, you should read the instructions about it before using. It will stain skin (I was a smurf for a few days), it will stain clothes, and surfaces. wear oldish clothes for about 24 hrs after first dying. The first night or two, use OLD PILLOWCASES! I stained mine by mistake along with a shirt.

Basically, if you follow the instructions, you SHOULD be able to pass off with minimum staining, get a bright vibrant color, and have it last a long time.

However, keep in mind, like with me, I can't use Manic Panic since it won't stay in my hair, Depending on your hair, you might have very good, or very bad luck with the quality of the color and whatnot.

I think that's about it, but I would personally recommend this product, although like others have mentioned, you will probably need at least two boxes... since the amount of dye is.... a bit disappointing. But, it's all worth it.

And it doesn't smell ANYWHERE as bad as the permanent hair dyes I've used. I personally think it smells pretty good.

blurgh

bleach is fine, not enough dye

The bleach worked fine - I was stripping out RAW Cyan to get a pure blue color; I wound up with super blonde roots and minty green tips (because I'm an impatient person) and wound up rocking that for a few days!

When I decided to put the blue in, my bf helped, and all went well except for the fact that there was nowhere near enough blue dye to adequately cover all my hair. We managed to stretch it to dye it all, but the dye seemed weirdly dry; and it's not as though I have a lot of hair - it barely reaches my shoulders and it's very fine so it's not as though I should have needed two boxes.

I do like the way the color turned out - it's a nice smoky blue which really complements my skin & eyes - Splat just needs to increase the amount of dye they include in the kit.

This stuff is amazing. Athough you might want to leave the bleach in a little longer than it says. I have used all the colors except green which I will do soon, I works great and stays in a verrrrrry long time. I love it!

Cons: Stains

I've used Splat twice in my life. Both times it was Blue Envy. (which seems to be the color everybody's getting!) For the price it's an excellent product. The color is nice and vibrant after bleaching the hair first. There are two things I dislike about this product: It stains and the color comes off into your beddings, make sure to remove pillowcases or use old pillowcases.

This product made me so mad. I used the pink and blue thinking it would make my hair look cute.... Oh no. My body is PURPLE. I washed it out in the shower, and now my whole shower ir BLUEEE. It stained so bad. It's really difficult to work with. I love coloring my hair funky colors so I thought I woul give this a try. It was horrible. The colors came out decent, but just that it stained my shower and ME was very upsetting. Maic Panic is much much better product to use. I would NEVER recommend this brand to anyone. Too messy.
