My lips are very sensitive and I rely on chapstick just to get through the day. In fact, If I don't have my chapstick with me at ALL times, I quite literally freak out. I used to use Burt's Bees, and swore by it, but then after six months of use, my lips, right around my lips, and the creases on either side of my mouth began to crack and became inflamed (I looked like a third grader who gets chapped lips, but continues to lick their lips and, in turn, gets chapped around their lips also, but I was doing nothing of the sort). At first I thought my chapstick was contaminated, so I got another tube, but to no avail. I then decided I would try another brand. Blistex worked for a week or so, but my mouth once again cracked and became inflamed. I finally concurred that I was having an allergic reaction to the strong flavors in the chapsticks, so I decided I'd try to go sans chapstick. After trying that, I realized it was an impossibility for me, so I did some research and learned about Aquaphor. I decided I'd try that, and now, 8 months later, I'm golden. It doesn't have a scent, it feels great on your lips, it's multi-purposed, and it's so mild that my only reactions to it are relief and smiles. Aquaphor really is a life saver, and I don't go anywhere without it.

i usually dont leave reviews but i just felt like i had too. This is a great product worth the money. I have tried many lip repair product but this is by far the best, will continue to buy this and yes would recommend it to anyone that has chapped or cracked lips.

I have a few other lip balms that I thought were really good, but it wasn't until about a month ago they were put to the ultimate test. and failed. After spending about a week on a lake (constantly on the boat) I developed extremely chapped lips. And by that, I mean my lips would constantly peel (I think the skin on my lips was regenerating every single day) and my lips would crack horrible. I would wake up unable to open my mouth fully because my lips were so dry and just could move that much and i would get 5 giant cracks in my lips in a night. It was horrible and I had to deal with this for a month. I had tried Blistex Deep Renewal, Blistex Fruit Smoothies (the purple one),Chapstick Spearmint, Nivea Cream (not a lip balm, but it usually works), L'Occitane Shea Butter, Nivea a Kiss of Milk and Honey lip balm, Nivea a Kiss of Flavor (cherry) lip balm, Carmex (both the pot and the "click stick"), eos Summer Fruit, Blistex Lip Massage, Stila lip pot in Baie, Nivea Shine, C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve, Goldie, on10 almond, and good on vaseline. literally nothing worked so eventually i told my mom she could schedule and appointment with my dermatologist. when she called to schedule, the derm told her that i should try aquaphor for about a week and if i dont see any results to come in. Well, i picked it up around 11 and by 8 that night, all the cracks were gone and there was no more pealing skin. the next day, my lips were completely back to normal. and today, they are already better than normal. I truely am amazed by this stuff. After all the other stuff didn't work, I was expecting it to take at least a week for any results, not 24 hours to be back to normal. This is gonna be my standard lip balm from now on.
