Question

What is Chondroitin?

Answer

Chondroitin is a supplement whose natural form is made from cow and shark cartilage. This supplement has gained popularity amongst people with arthritis. The body uses the chondroitin to make new bones, cartilage and tendons while also aiding nutrients to enter existing cartilage. Cartilage is the tough, white fibrous portion of the joint allows pain-free movement. These benefits for cartilage are the main reason why people with arthritis have begun taking chondroitin. Some users of the supplement have reported mild stomach discomfort and nausea. In rare cases, chondroitin users have reported shortness of breath.
