What are the side effects of Mobic?

Answer

Mobic« (meloxicam) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) available by prescription. It is used to treat the pain of osteoarthritis. Mobic« was designed to cause less heartburn, nausea and stomach ulcers than other NSAIDs like Voltaren« (diclofenac) or Naprosyn« (naproxen).

Mobic's most common side effects

Mobic's most common side effects include upset stomach, diarrhea, gas, heartburn and stomach pain. Infrequently, some people experience more severe side effects when using Mobic« such as stomach ulcers and stomach bleeding. To minimize your risk of side effects, use the lowest effective dose of Mobic« for only as long as your physician recommends. Patients with cardiovascular (heart) disease should discuss the risks of taking any NSAIDs on a long-term basis. You should not take Mobic« if you have an allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
