How long can I leave my contact lenses in?

Different contact lenses are made for different wearing schedules:

Daily wear contact lenses - which include both soft and rigid gas permeable lenses - must be removed before bedtime or a nap.

Only extended wear lenses can be slept in/kept in for the prescribed time (usually overnight or up to seven days).

To protect your eyes from potentially serious problems and injury, be sure to follow your eye care professional's recommendation for contact lenses usage.
