Walgreens continues, in it's third full year, to offer FREE health screenings on the island of Puerto Rico. This year's Tour, AARP/Walgreens La Gira Del Buen Vecino is traveling across the island in a specially customized health screening vehicle that provides adults convenient, free access to six health screenings. The screenings are collectively valued at $140*. The health screenings provide adults with a critical foundation for early disease detection and prevention. Screenings are available for anyone age 18 and older and include:

· Total Cholesterol Levels · Blood Pressure · Bone Density

· Glucose Levels · Waist Circumference · Body Mass Index

Last year in Puerto Rico, the Wellness Tour visited over 100 Walgreens store locations and provided 18,644 consumers a total of 107,060 screenings, a value of more than $2 million.

The AARP/Walgreens La Gira Del Buen Vecino is part of a larger stateside Tour, the AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour. Overall the Tour has a total of nine specially customized health screening vehicles on the road to perform these free health screenings and a goal to perform more than 2.5 million screenings in over 3000 communities, in the United States and Puerto Rico over the next 2 years. The Tour will continue to show an emphasis on serving underserved and diverse areas.
