Q: Do I need a physical card to earn and redeem points?
A: No. To earn points online, sign in to your Walgreens.com account. In store, provide your
phone number, the mobile card, or present your physical card. If you joined Balance Rewards
online, you will not be mailed a physical card. If you would like a physical card, visit your
local Walgreens or Duane Reade and ask a sales associate to link a physical card to your
membership.

A: You can see your current point balance by logging in to your account at Walgreens.com/Balance or on the Walgreens mobile

A: In most cases, points will be posted to your account immediately after your purchase.

How the Program Works
Q: Do I need a Balance Rewards membership to get sale prices at Walgreens?
A: As of October 25th, 2012, you will need to be a Balance Rewards member to take advantage
of sale prices at Walgreens and Duane Reade stores. The regular price and Balance Rewards price
will both be noted on the product tag. Currently you do not need a Balance Rewards membership
to get sale prices at Walgreens.com, but you do need the membership to earn points.

Q: How do I earn points?
A: You earn points every time you make a qualifying purchase using your Balance Rewards
card, key fob, or mobile app. If you forget any of these tracking devices, you can provide your
phone number in store at the register. You will earn bonus points on a variety of items across
the store each week and 500 points on every prescription you fill in the pharmacy. Only
prescriptions picked up in-store are eligible to earn points at this time. You will also earn
10 points for every mile you walk in the Walk with Walgreens program. Due to state and federal
laws, points cannot be earned on some items. Points will not be awarded to anyone who currently
or was at any time in the 6 months prior to purchasing a Pharmacy item covered by Medicare,
Medicaid, Tricare or any other government-funded healthcare program. Pharmacy items must be
purchased at participating Walgreens Drugstore, Rxpress, Duane Reade, or Walgreens Pharmacy
locations ("Participating Stores") to earn points. Excludes Pharmacy items purchased from AR,

Q: I live in a state that cannot earn points for prescriptions; what else can I earn points
on?
A: You can earn points on thousands of items in store and online. These items change
weekly. You will also earn 10 points for every mile you log with the Walk with Walgreens
program. At participating stores located in AR, NJ or NY where points cannot be earned on
pharmacy items, Balance Rewards members will earn 10 points per $1.00 spent at these locations
for every purchase of non-prescription vitamin or cough, cold, pain or sleep medication.

Q: What is the process for redeeming my points in store?
A: You can redeem points once you accumulate 5,000 points. To redeem in store, you will be
prompted by the sales associate to choose to either redeem your points or continue earning
points on that purchase. You can elect to redeem or keep saving using the pin pad at checkout
or by telling the sales associate. You can choose to redeem all, some, or none of your
points.
NOTE: You cannot earn and redeem points in the same purchase.

Q: What is the process for redeeming my points online?
A: You can redeem points once you accumulate 5,000 points. To redeem on Walgreens.com, you will
be prompted to either redeem your points or continue earning points on that purchase on the
Payment Options screen of the checkout process. Use the dropdown menu to select your rewards
redemption value (or to continue earning without redeeming points). You can choose to redeem
all, some, or none of your points.
