No, you don't need to be a myWalgreens member to use Same Day Rx Delivery. When you text "Join Rx" to 21525, or your eligible prescriptions are ready through the Walgreens App or Walgreens.com, you'll need to select Same Day as your delivery preference.
- Is there a non-digital way to sign up?
You can contact your local pharmacy team by phone or in store to discuss the best prescription delivery option for you, including Same Day Rx Delivery.
- By what time do I have to place an order to receive prescription delivery by end of day?
Orders must be received by 4 p.m. to be eligible for Same Day Rx Delivery during a weekday and by 1 p.m. on weekends. While most prescriptions are expected to be delivered the same day, some deliveries may not be eligible for delivery due to prescription type, delivery address, holidays, weather or other delivery constraints.
- What is the delivery radius for Same Day? How close do I have to be to the nearest Walgreens pharmacy?
You must be within 15 miles of your Walgreens pharmacy to use Same Day Rx Delivery.
- Are any medicines not eligible for Same Day Rx Delivery?
Most prescriptions are eligible for Same Day Rx Delivery. However, some prescriptions may be ineligible for this service, such as controlled substances, temperature-controlled prescriptions or prescriptions paid for by certain insurance plans or healthcare programs. Delivery fees vary by location. At this time, delivery fees are waived for 1-2 day prescription delivery in response to the pandemic.
- Do I have to be home when my prescriptions are delivered?
No, you don't need to be home to have your prescriptions delivered unless the prescription requires a signature or ID verification.
- Can I order retail items with my prescription delivery?
No, you can't add retail items to your prescription delivery orders at this time. However, you can order prescriptions and other retail items for pickup at the same time at the drive-thru or in store at the pharmacy counter at more than 9,000 of our store locations!
*To use Same Day Rx Delivery or 1-2 business day delivery, it is recommended you are opted into Prescription Status Alerts. It will appear as an option if order is before that store's cutoff time for the day. Certain health plans do not cover, or participate in, Same Day Rx Delivery. Check with your health plan for further details.
1 Same Day Prescription Delivery is available on eligible prescriptions only. Most prescription orders are available to be delivered to the patient's home same day. Orders must be received 2 hours prior to Rx closure. Please note that while most prescriptions are expected to be delivered same day, some deliveries may not be eligible for delivery due to prescription type, delivery address, holidays, weather, or other delivery constraints.
2 1-2 Business Day Prescription Delivery is available on eligible prescriptions only. Most prescription orders are available to be delivered to the patient's home in 1-2 business days. Orders received by 10 a.m. on Friday, as well as requests made during the weekend, for 1-2 day delivery have an expected delivery day of Wednesday. Prescriptions are not delivered on Sundays or holidays. Please note that while most prescriptions are expected to be delivered in 1-2 business days, some deliveries may not be eligible for delivery due to prescription type, delivery address, holidays, weather, or other delivery constraints. Free delivery available for a limited time only and excludes same-day delivery.

4 Daily delivery is Monday through Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Orders must be placed by 6 p.m., but hours may vary by store location. Some deliveries may not be eligible for same day due to delivery address, holidays, weather or other delivery constraints. Deliveries must be either entirely accepted or rejected. No partial order acceptance permitted. Please note that an individual's signature or presence may not be required upon delivery.
