FAQ

If you're considering signing up:

  • What types of prescription status updates will I receive?

We'll let you know when your prescriptions are due for refill, ready for pickup or delayed. We'll also send you order confirmations after you request a refill.

  • Can I choose what alerts I receive?
Signing up for text alerts automatically enrolls you in both status updates and refill reminders. If you only want to receive one type of alert, you may edit your preferences at any time.
  • How do I refill by text?

Reply "REFILL" to your refill reminder text. If you want to see which prescriptions are due for refill, tap the link in the reminder text and select the prescriptions you would like to refill.

  • Does texting RXSTATUS to 21525 sign me up for Rx text alerts?

  • If you've already signed up:

  • I signed up for Rx text alerts but am not receiving messages. How can I get help?

If you signed up in the store or through your communication preferences online, you must reply "Yes" to the Rx alerts confirmation text within seven days to verify your phone number, completing the sign-up process. If you completed this step and are still unable to receive messages from a store that has messaging services enabled, please contact Walgreens.com Customer Service toll-free, at 1-877-250-5823.

  • Why wasn't my prescription ready at the pharmacy after I received my text alert?

We send different types of text alerts. Please make sure you received an alert that said your prescription is "ready for pickup." If you received a different type of text alert, we may still be working on filling your prescription. If you have multiple prescriptions in progress, please check the link in the text message to see which prescriptions are ready for pickup.

  • Why am I receiving some texts in English when I am signed up for Spanish alerts? (¿Por qué estoy recibiendo algunos textos en inglés cuando estoy registrado para recibir alertas en español?)

For certain messages, we currently only have the English option available. We are working on updating those, but you should still continue to see a majority of your texts in Spanish. (Para algunos mensajes, por el momento solo tenemos disponible la opción en inglés. Estamos trabajando en la actualización de estos textos, pero vas a seguir viendo la mayoría de tus textos en español.)

  • How do I opt out of receiving text alerts?

You can opt out at any time by texting "STOP" to 21525.
