I use Tegaderm Transparent Dressings to keep insulin pump infusion sets secure and in place when I'm active outdoors or in humid settings. My daughter is a nurse and this is her "go to" dressing for protecting IVs and minor wounds everyday.

I use these over top of my Duragesic pain patches that I wear due to a back injury. I wear them for 72 hours at a time and the Tagaderm patches allow me to shower with them on and also help keep them firmly in place. I usually replace the Tagaderm patch once during a 72 hour period.

I get infections (cellulitis) easily and because I have reduced feeling in parts of my body I tend to wound easily. Therefore I am very careful to keep any wound as clean as possible. I always have tegaderm handy to cover any wound to protect it and to help the healing process.

I use these for my duragesic pain patches that I have to wear 24/7 due to a spinal damage. The duragesic patches is worn for 3 day at a time and I put the Tegaderm patches over the duragsic patch to keep it in place and protect it while in the shower. The Tegaderm also does not irritate my skin.Duragesic information [@]

This product is excellent -- it does not stick to the incision, but does protect while in the shower. I would recommend this to anyone whose wound is small enough to leave the required 1/2" of space all the way around. I had back surgery to repair a ruptured disc, and this is so much more comfortable than bandages and tape all over my back.
