A friend gave me this after I developed a mysterious rash on my abdomen...turns out my dog had gotten into some poison ivy and then into bed, and I got the rash from the sheets.
Because I hadn't had contact with the plant, I had no idea it was poison ivy and I thought it might be a spider bite...until the rash spread. A friend gave me this and I used it once -- dramatic relief! The red patches are much smaller and I'm looking forward to using it again tonight. It not only removes the oil but seems to help heal the rash once it gets started.
It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny for the relief.

This is the best stuff I have found, I work at a wildlife refuge, and it seems like I get poison ivy everytime the wind blows. Tecnu relieves the itch right away, and dries out the oozing.

This is the best stuff for poison ivy/oak/sumac. It's a little pricey, but def. worth it! I get into it at least once a year bad, and this stuff makes me stay sane :)

I found this to be the best product on the market for treating poison ivy. It works fast! Read the directions and follow them. If you don't mix with equal parts water it doesn't seem to work as well. I tell everyone I can how great this is. I have to buy more, left my bottle with a missionary friend in Africa.

I have always been super sensitive to Poison Ivy and Poison Oak. I never found anything that worked as quickly or as well as the Tecnu product. I can put it on and let it dry on the respective area then wash it off and usually over 24 hours I can see results starting, usually after 2-3 days of use every night, and using an antihistamine makes everything just like normal. I have never found a product that can even touch the rash, and this product can get rid of everything within a few days.

I greatly appreciate all the reviews left here, which helped me decide what to get for my boyfriend's poison ivy rash. He had gotten it four days ago while collecting wood for a campfire. The rash is on various parts of his body with varying degrees of severity from a light patch on his chin to large, red patches on his legs. Also, he got some on his, well, privates (ouch). The oil from the poison ivy had transferred by hand. The overall itching was making him miserable and he took this product home to try.
He rubbed the scrub into affected areas for 15 seconds or more. Whether he scrubbed gently or very hard depended on how tender the skin was. After he rinsed it off the itching had subsided almost immediately and he had great relief for some five hours before he scrubbed again. The rashes look like they're already starting to get better, but he is most relieved by the lack of itching.
This product is definitely worth the buy. It works much better than the creams meant to temporarily relieve itching, because those at times provided little to all too brief relief. We would purchase this again. Of course, hopefully we won't have to!
