Rated 3 out of 5 Never Know What You'll Get
I bought these a few times and the first time all 5 worked fine, however the second time the last disk did not burn properly and the last few songs were not actually on the CD. The third time I only got one of 5 disks to have all songs copy properly. It has problems but I would say that if only one CD works properly it was well worth the two dollars for an hour of music

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Ashram Good if you need blank CD-Rs in a snap
This five pack is a good deal if you're in need of CD-Rs in a snap and for cheap.
These discs will typically have been made by Ritek for Maxell.
The quality of these discs are okay. Stored in cool, dry, and dark places, the discs will hold up for at least a couple of years. If kept in, say, a hot car, don't be surprised if problems arise after 1 or 2 months.
The recording quality can be good provided you moderate your recording speeds. The maximum advertised burn speed is around 52x or 54x. I'd recommend writing no faster than half the maximum rated speed if you want a recording that will reliably playback from beginning to end (I tend to burn no faster than 12x; slow burning speed is the best way to get good burns and reduce the chance of duds, even with mediocre media).
Part of it is the quality of the CD-Rs themselves; while not the worst CD-Rs you may find, they're just okay considering that the quality is going to be about the same as Memorex and TDK as those brands have also used Ritek.
Another part of it is that the writing strategies used to achieve high speeds in the typical burner will have a tendency to sacrifice recording quality, resulting in troublesome CD Audio playback or CD-ROM access.
So long as you burn slow, the recording quality will be good enough.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Lisa Skips Like A Kid With Candy!
This 5-count package is perfect if you're not sure if your computer will accept them. I used these discs to burn music tracks. The first four discs had an average of two skipped songs each. The last one had eight out of twenty-one songs skip. The sound quality is pretty good otherwise and the capacity and burn time are its best features. Buy on a trial basis only!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by PINEAPPLEKITTEN I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! READ ON
OUT OF A PACKAGE OF 5 ...I MAY GET LUCKY IF TWO ARE NOT 'DUDS'...IN THE BEGINNING, THEY WERE A GREAT BARGAIN...BUT NOW, I CAN PUT THAT [$] TOWARDS A 30-50 COUNT SET. I THEN KNOW AT LEAST IF IAM IN THE MIDDLE OF A PROJECT AND I RUN INTO 'DUDS', AT LEAST I'LL HAVE ENOUGH CD'S TO COMPLETE MY WORK. THE ONE GOOD THING ABOUT THEM IS THE COLORS ARE NICE, AND THAT MAKES IT EASY FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES...BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT.
