It stays on all day, covers beautifully, and is better than Estee Lauder or Shiedo foundation on me.

Back in 1993-1994 approx. Revlon inc bought a company with the technology or patent for longwearing makeup called Ultima II. It was a department store brand you bought for longwear and in the 90's longwear no fuss understated and matte makeup ruled. Revlon cs was primer, concealer, foundation, and powder in one and I believed it was advertised as such. It performed as such. Its formulation if I recall was alot thicker than it is today but again matte was in and it gave matte. I loved it, still do. To me this new formulation w/softflex seems thinner in consistancy definitly not as opaque, and not as matte even thought to me there is no need for powder unless you are very oily. It does crease slightly(original didn't do this unless you cake it on) but is fixable . This is still quality to me as it stays on. Thats the main reason I purchased since 1994 when Ultima II was discontinued. I used to use Caramel (winter)mixed w/Cappucino (summer) when the only colors for woc were caramel, cappucino, mahoghany, and mocha. The new formula's Caramel is warmer (good in summer) and doesn't have a yellow undertone like the original. The next 2 lighter shades don't match my dark yellow brown undertones. Too neutral or pink. Quality product though. Walgreens consider Black Opal cosmetics for WOC at least online. Maybelline, I personally believe never got it 'right' if not from color 'Shades of You' then formulation 'FIT ME'even when Loreal purchased Maybelline. LOreal (Lancome parent co)used to be a great drugstore brand regardless of skintone but formulation arent so since Maybelline purcshase. All homogenis. Neutrogena is really for clear ivory cool light beige neutral tones not really for 'warm' muted mixed dark or deep skintones. Covergirl hugh formulation. When I was in high school covergirl didn't have colors for women of color and all my white friends would cake the face with those compacts.ICING. The formula hasn't changed. They added colors but formula doesn't last.Constant reapplication. And it covers NOTHING.

I have used this makeup for years. It can't be beat for long lasting, natural looking coverage.
