not good for thick hair

I have thick hair and was looking for a product to hold in stray hairs that fall out when my hair is up. This product would have worked very nicely, had my hair been thinner. The clips tend to pop open and fall out. I tried clipping smaller pieces, but my problem was not fixed. The clips still opened and were such a hassle that i went back to my other clips.
Will work nicely on thin hair.
Do not buy for thicker hair(:

Pros: Easy To Use, Good Value

Cons: Ineffective

I just bought this product to hold my extra hairs when my hair is in a ponytail. The clips are very nice. However, they will not hold, contrary to the name of the product. It may be because of my extremely thick hair, so I suggest not getting them if you have extremely thick hair like me.

Cons: Only 3 of each color, Finish flakes off quickly

I really like this type of clip and have since I first found them in a plain silver color some 30 or more years ago (probably at Walgreens :-) I wish I could get Scunci products in EITHER tortoiseshell brown OR black but not always both. Since there's not an even number of clips of either color I don't even have a fresh set to use when the color has flaked off of the pair I've been using, and the black just doesn't work well with my hair color so I tend to end up with half a drawer of unused and unwanted black scunci hair clips, headbands, pony-holders, etc. Variety is nice but so is being able to buy what *I* need and not have to pay for something I don't need or want.

Pros: Healthier Hair, Lightweight, Easy To Use

Works better than any other barrette, no matter the texture or type. I have really fine, hard-to-hold, glitzy hair, but I have used these to clip a silk headband / scarf to my 'do, which is a thick combination, and nothing works better. I have tried every barrette in the world for various style purposes, and these are the only ones I use now, except for the goody stainless steel ones in a pinch.
