Wear household gloves
Clean object first by washing in warm soapy water and drying thoroughly
Dip cotton ball or soft cloth in Tarn-X and wipe on tarnished areas. Rinse thoroughly under cold water and wipe dry. For large items, apply Tarn-X to about 1/3 of article at a time, then rinse thoroughly. Do not soak any object in Tarn-X for over 2 minutes
For heavily tarnished pieces, repeat above process until all tarnish is dissolved
Tarn-X only removes tarnish. Always apply Tarn-X silver polish after using Tarn-X

Rated 4 out of 5 by Larriott Good stuff, but be careful This is a good and safe product. However, DO NOT clean your grandfather's valuable silver coin collection witb this product---although, this product would be better than Brasso or Comet! This product will turn some silver coins a very mild light yellow, permanently, so be careful. As a rule, you should not clean valuable coins, at all, as tarnish has nothing to do with the value of the coin. January 17, 2009
