Pros: Quiet Operation

Cons: design flaws

Easy enough to set up. I discovered (the hard way), however, that when the mist aperture is closed all the way for minimal mist, condensate drips down the front of the unit, soaking the supporting surface. Seems like something that should have been idenitifed in product testing. Could have been addressed by placing the orifice on a "less vertical" surface.

Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use

Cons: soaks its surroundings, no good mositure control, no manual, does not moisten the air

dont waste your money! i bought this and sadly through away the box so i cant return it. first night i had it i woke up the next morning to a SOAKING WET carpet ALL around it as well as its surface it was on! and it DOES NOT moisten the air what so ever

Iam very pleased with this humidifier. It was very highly rated by Consumer Reports when I researched it a few years ago. I am checking online to see if it is still available because I want to buy another one for a different room. This machine is easy to fill, easy to work, you can control the flow of the mist, I have had no problems with the surrounding area getting wet, it's SO quiet; I cannot say enough good about it.

i did not read reviews til after i made my purchase of the cool mist humidifyer model 2055 (which is not indicated on the box)
i read and followed all the manuals instructions.
I LOVE this product. I was almost ready to return it after i experienced some of the reported problems? re: drip/leak/soak carpet
it did DRIP from the opened spout the first few minuets but i wiped it dry several times and then it stopped. seems to be a build up until the thing gets acclumated.
it did not LEAK. i am very carful when i move the thing keeping it level so that the reservor does not over fill im sure that helps. i put it on a tray just in case - no problems.
WET FLOOR? when the spout is fully opened it did make the floor damp from the mist. it dried quickly. i closed the spout about 3/4 and have not had that problem again.
that being said i have benefitted greatly from what it does put out. no more dry throat/nose. i can sleep again! : )
the MOTOR is very quiet. there is a type of gurgling sound from the water movement which i did not find annoying at all and after a while i got used to it and now i dont hear it.
i also experimented with WATER TYPES.
distilled is deffinately best. purified water also works well. tap water not so good, seemed to clog something, in fact could not hear any gurgling??
CLEANING very minimal with good water.
i do not fill container to the max because it makes it too heavy and still goes thru the night and then some which is nice.
it is very drippy and leaky when i refill it but its clean water so i dont mind.
i dont typically run it dry because i dont need it to run 24/7. i think it will last longer that way?? (i hope)
the spout leaks when turned upside down for refilling, but not much. filling is the only draw back but hey everything else especially the price is worth it!!!

Took unopened box home. No user manual. Tried to find manual online with no success. Tired of incompetent products and companies that sell them. Will definately return
