Native to Asia, Dong Quai comes from the root of the Chinese Angelica plant. It reaches up to six feet in height and bears white flowers. Dong Quai has been cultivated for thousands of years with the first recording in 588 B.C. In Asia, it is second in sales only to ginseng and licorice root. Its botanical name is Angelica sinensis and common names include Dang Gui, Chinese Angelica Root, Woman's Herb.
