Walgreens Passport Policy

To help you comply with United States Department of State specifications for passport photographs, your photograph will be scanned using pattern/pixel recognition software (the “Software”). The Software performs its analysis in local memory on the in-store computer kiosk. It aligns your photograph and determines whether it meets the federal government’s requirements for passport photographs (neutral expression, eyes open, etc.). The results of the face analysis do not leave the kiosk, are not shared with any other party except as set forth below, and are automatically and permanently deleted from the kiosk once you place your order at the kiosk or your session times out.

By clicking this box (which you agree constitutes your signature) you are:

  • agreeing to conduct this transaction by electronic means;
  • agreeing to the collection of the information as set forth above;
  • agreeing that, in the event the analysis set forth above is deemed to constitute biometrics, biometric information, or a biometric identifier under various laws, you consent to the collection, capture, possession, receipt, and disclosure of such biometrics, biometric information, or biometric identifiers by Walgreens Boots Alliance and its subsidiaries and affiliates, including but not limited to Walgreen Co. and its agents;
  • representing and warranting that you are either (i) the person in the photograph, or (ii) the legally authorized representative of the person in the photograph;
  • agreeing to be bound by the following terms of use. These terms of use include in Section VII, "Dispute Resolution," an individual arbitration clause and class action waiver. By accepting these terms of use and proceeding with this transaction, you are agreeing that if a dispute ever arises and you cannot resolve the matter informally with Walgreens, any and all disputes or claims that have arisen or may arise shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court, if your claims qualify.

To help customers comply with United States Department of State specifications for passport photographs, digital passport photographs taken at Walgreens and processed in-store are scanned using pattern/pixel recognition software (the "Software"). The Software performs its analysis in local memory on the in-store computer kiosk. It aligns the photograph and determines whether it meets the federal government’s requirements for passport photographs (neutral expression, eyes open, etc.). The results of the face analysis do not leave the kiosk, are not shared with any other party besides Walgreens Boots Alliance and its subsidiaries and affiliates, including but not limited to Walgreen Co. (together “Walgreens”), and are automatically and permanently deleted from the kiosk once you place your order at the kiosk or your session times out.
