Acne Treatment

What is acne?1

Acne occurs when pores get clogged with oil and dead skin cells. It's commonly characterized by three blemish types:

1.Whiteheads:

Clogged pore causes a follicle wall to bulge

2.Blackheads:

Clogged pore opens to surface and darkens

3.Cysts:

Blocked pore becomes infected and creates a red bump2

Other signs of acne include crusting or redness around skin eruptions, inflammation, pustules and skin scars.

Walgreens Healthcare Clinic providers can treat acne for a variety of skin types. Clinics are open evenings and weekends, so you can get skin care help when your schedule allows.
