• What is happening to my prescriptions at Brookshire Grocery Co. pharmacies?

  Walgreens has acquired the Brookshire Grocery Co. or BGC pharmacy business. Now that the transition of prescription files to Walgreens is complete, you can pick up your prescriptions at the Walgreens pharmacy most convenient to you in your neighborhood or anywhere in the country.
  In addition, as a Walgreens patient, you will have convenient access to Walgreens nationwide network of more than 9,000 retail and specialty pharmacies. With more than 100 years of community healthcare experience, we can offer the advantages of a nationwide pharmacy while continuing to focus on the needs of each community. • Does Walgreens offer a prescription discount program?

  Yes! Walgreens offers the Rx Savings Finder convenient search tool to find lower medication prices at Walgreens. Walgreens Rx Savings Finder provides third-party prescription discount cards to pharmacy customers.

• What is happening to the pharmacy team members at BGC?

  Walgreens has committed to offer opportunities for all eligible BGC pharmacy employees to gain employment at Walgreens where possible. BGC pharmacy employees have had the opportunity to interview for open positions at existing Walgreens locations, as well as the newly converted Walgreens pharmacies within BGC.

• What prescription delivery options does Walgreens offer?

  Walgreens offers several prescription delivery options. Visit Walgreens.com/prescriptiondelivery to choose the shipping option that best fits your delivery needs.

• I can't see prescrptions to be transferred to Walgreens in the Previous Pharmacy Folder. What should I do?

  Prescriptions will be available at Walgreens once your BGC pharmacy has completed its transition to Walgreens. If you don't see any prescriptions waiting for you after the transition, then you may not have any active prescriptions. If you don't see them listed, visit your local Walgreens and talk to a pharmacist right now. You can also transfer your Rx as a guest.

• How can I enroll in prescription refill reminders and other convenient prescription services similar to the ones I used at BGC Pharmacy?

  After creating your Walgreens.com account, you will automatically be enrolled in refill reminders. For other services, like auto-refill, customizing prescription labels, cap preferences and more, visit Prescription Settings. If you'd like to set up text or email alerts, update your Communications Preferences. You may also visit or call the pharmacy to set up these services.

• Will the front of store remain the same after the transfer of ownership?

  Yes, the grocery store will continue normal business operations under the BGC brand after the transfer of ownership of the pharmacy.
