Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are passed from person to person during sex, by sharing syringes, or from an infected mother to her baby during pregnancy, childbirth or breast feeding.1
Although the terms STI and STD are often used interchangeably, infections are only considered diseases when symptoms are present. This means the term STD can apply to both STIs and STDs.
Walgreens Healthcare Clinic providers are trained to test, consult, diagnose & provide STI treatment. Clinics are open evenings and weekends, so you can get tested when your schedule allows. Appointments and results are always confidential.
