Welcome to Walgreens. Over the next few months, many Rite Aid locations -- especially in the Northeast and Southern parts of the U.S. will be joining the Walgreens family. Taking care of patients, customers and our local communities is our top priority, and we look forward to having the opportunity to continue serving you.
As a first step, select Rite Aid locations will transfer to Walgreens ownership over the next few months. When this happens, the pharmacies in these stores will be managed by Walgreens. Over the next approximately 18 months, the majority of these locations will convert to full Walgreens locations with the products, services and great prices found at other Walgreens stores nationwide.

I'm a Walgreens Customer or Patient
Yes, you can transfer your prescription with the help of our pharmacy team. This generally only takes a few minutes, and any pharmacy team member will be happy to assist you.
At this time, Balance Rewards is not active at Walgreens-owned Rite Aid stores. Many Rite Aid stores will be converted to the Walgreens brand and system in the coming months. Once stores transition, you will be able to use your Balance Rewards card at these locations.
At this time, Walgreens coupons and gifts cards are not active at Walgreens-owned Rite Aid stores. You will be able to use Walgreens coupons and gift cards at these stores once they have been converted to the Walgreens brand and system. Please let the in-store team know if you have any questions.
I'm a Rite Aid Customer or Patient
For now, you can expect the mix of products and services at these locations to remain [largely] the same. Eventually, we will convert the Rite Aid stores to the full Walgreens experience, including signs, products, services and customer programs.
Yes. You can continue to use the wellness+ with Plenti card at these stores with the full ability to earn and redeem points until the conversion to the Walgreens system is complete. After that, you can enroll in Walgreens Balance Rewards program and earn points toward future purchases. Please let the in-store team know if you have any questions.
Once these stores transition to the Walgreens brand and system, they will begin accepting Walgreens coupons and gift cards. In the meantime, Rite Aid gift cards are available for purchase.
Yes, these stores will continue to sell and redeem Rite Aid gift cards until they have been converted to the Walgreens brand and system.
Yes, this store will continue to accept Rite Aid promotions, including the Rite Aid advertising circular and coupons, until full conversion to the Walgreens brand and system is complete. Once that happens, youll be able to buy and use Walgreens coupons and gift cards at this store.
The pharmacies in these Rite Aid stores are now part of the Walgreens prescription insurance network and accept most insurance plans. Please see your pharmacist with any questions.
Just stop in or call your pharmacy. Any pharmacy team member will be happy to assist you.
Once our pharmacy is converted to the Walgreens system, youll be able to refill prescriptions online via the Walgreens website or mobile app. In the interim, youll need to ask the pharmacy staff to help you. Any pharmacy team member will be happy to assist you, either over the phone or in person.
If you would like to fill your prescription at a non-Walgreens owned Rite Aid store, please speak to a pharmacist to have your prescription transferred. Any pharmacy team member will be happy to assist you.
